Friendship Forged by Faith in Jesus Alone

A chance encounter brought two individuals together, with God guiding their paths. What began as a simple meeting between a client and a stylist evolved into a conversation centered around Jesus. This initial exchange, which took place three years ago, blossomed into a meaningful friendship centered on the Great Commission, an inspiring mission to lead as many people as possible to the feet of Jesus.

The urgency to share the gospel and expand the kingdom of God is undeniable.

It’s clear that God brought Charlotte and me together as a dynamic duo. One of us organizes. The other sparks creative ideas. Together, we exchange thoughts in ways only God could inspire. We know that this is truly something beyond our individual capabilities.

One thing I've learned through this experience is that God's timing is different from ours. Three years ago, we envisioned a women's conference, and it took two more years for that vision to materialize. The result was a beautiful evening filled with worship and gratitude towards God.

Following the event, inquiries began to flood in about the timing of the next gathering. Our response remains consistent: we will announce it when God reveals it to us.

The reality is that we often don’t have advance notice; God simply nudges us, saying, “Hey Charlotte” or “Hey Sarah.” From there, we engage in prayer to discern whether the time is now or later.

The bridegroom is approaching swiftly, faster than we can comprehend, highlighting the urgent need to spread the gospel.

The topic of Women’s VBS kept surfacing in our discussions, igniting a sense of excitement and purpose within us. As we gathered once more in the salon, we felt a nudge that it was time to embark on this journey.

Today marked the first O’fishal Women’s VBS.

God guided us through a path filled with joy and laughter, surrounded by dedicated individuals eager to serve and fulfill the great commission. Remarkably, those who hadn’t been formally asked to help stepped forward in extraordinary ways, taking on tasks that lightened our load. Their contributions did not go unnoticed; it was evident that God had chosen each person for this mission.

We marveled at the countless signs and reassurances along the way, celebrating how He was glorified in every detail and conversation, all centered around the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

I am truly thankful that he reached out and united us on this mission to share the gospel. He recognized two individuals who share a deep love for him, carefully selecting us to come together and embark on this journey. Together, we can cast our nets wide and work towards making heaven crowded.

Regardless of denomination: Baptist, Methodist, Lutheran, Catholic, only one truth matters…Jesus Alone saves.

Let’s boldly share Him wherever we go. That is our mission. That is our purpose.
