Let's Play Ball
As the opening ceremonies for baseball approach this weekend, our family is in full swing with activities. I need to pause and catch my breath. Lately, many have asked me how I manage to juggle everything, and the honest truth is that I can't say for sure. The real answer is that I have faith, knowing that God supports me through it all.
It's
amusing to find myself juggling my work schedule while also squeezing in
baseball practice. Once again, I'm adjusting my days to keep everything
balanced. I attend college on Mondays and Wednesdays, which is great since
those are usually my days off. However, with baseball now part of the equation,
I've started working Monday evenings and picking up some simple haircuts on
Wednesdays. Meanwhile, Tuesday and Thursday evenings are dedicated to my son's
baseball practice.
I was
uncertain about how I would manage to find balance once the game day schedule
was released and how I would handle everything. However, I truly believe again
God made a way for me.
Philippians
4:6-7
“Do not
be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with
thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which
transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ
Jesus.”
I find
joy in the fact that I received the baseball schedule, as it seems like a
divine intervention. It is overwhelming to schedule everything perfectly,
feeling like I was running around aimlessly. Thankfully, the schedule has
returned my Mondays to a more manageable routine, allowing me to enjoy a day
off with a baseball game to look forward to. I truly appreciate this change,
and it feels like God noticed my struggles. A big shoutout to the person who
created the game day schedule—you are amazing and talented!
Mondays
and Fridays are typically game days, with the occasional Thursday evening
thrown in. I truly believe that God understands my need for this routine; His
faithfulness is unwavering. I've often prayed for the strength to be a loving
wife, to be fully present for my children, and to manage my business while
returning to college. I have many responsibilities and wear numerous hats, but
God knows when I need to take a step back, clear my mind, and simply be myself.
I can't
wait to see my son take the field for baseball. His face lights up every time
he steps onto the diamond, and it fills my heart with joy to witness his
happiness. I would gladly rearrange my schedule any day just to experience that
moment. Praying for a fantastic opening week to all the baseball families out
there. Let’s play some ball!
